Mountain Lake Lodge is set to host its first-ever “Dirty Dancing Days" Summer Festival on Aug. 16 and Aug. 17.

Forever known as the backdrop for the cult classic movie Dirty Dancing, Mountain Lake Lodge is switching to a new genre this holiday.

Mountain Lake Lodge is back in the national spotlight.

The Dirty Dancing filming location is debuting Kellerman’s Gift Shop and Salt Pond Living.

A building at the Grossinger’s Catskill Resort Hotel, which inspired the 1987 movie “Dirty Dancing,” was knocked down as a result of a massive fire on Tuesday evening, officials said.

Fans of “Dirty Dancing” are in for a treat. Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer confirmed there will be a new “Dirty Dancing” movie starring Jennifer Grey, who played Baby in the 1987 original, Deadline reported. Grey is also executive producing the movie, according to Deadline. Officials haven’t said yet when the new “Dirty Dancing” movie will premiere. Parts of the original “Dirty Dancing” were filmed at Mountain Lake Lodge in Giles County.

But the real Swayze will soon be seen in "I Am Patrick Swayze," a new documentary about his life made by the late actor's wife, Lisa Niemi. Niemi discussed Swayze's career and his 2009 death at the age of 57 following a battle with pancreatic cancer. "It's the worst thing in the world to go through," Niemi said of Swayze's cancer fight. "The first time Buddy (her nickname for Swayze) and I danced together was at a school exhibition," Niemi said.
