A judge in South Carolina has ruled it is too late for South Carolina to reopen voter registration for nearly 1,900 teens after the state Department of Motor Vehicles failed to notify election officials that they checked the box to register as they got their driver’s licenses.

Starting on July 1, if you have an unregistered farm vehicle that you use on public roads, you will now have to register it under the DMV.

The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles is introducing more convenient service options for customers during the current COVID-19 pandemic. It also allows Class B driver training schools to administer an in-class curriculum and the parent/student driver education component of the driver’s education course via an online platform. During this pandemic, DMV has extended that grace period to 90 days, giving customers more time to obtain a credential in their new state of residence before their Virginia driver’s license or identification card is canceled. If the petition is granted, the customer can obtain a restricted driver’s license as long as they are otherwise eligible. DMV has contacted all 305 affected customers and assisted them in scheduling appointments to satisfy any outstanding requirements, such as completing a knowledge test.

RICHMOND, Va. Starting Jan. 1, undocumented immigrants in Virginia will be able to get a drivers license. Ralph Northam held a virtual signing on Monday for a bill that gives the Department of Motor Vehicles permission to issue driver privilege cards to undocumented immigrants. This comes after the state Senate passed legislation that allows immigrants to have a drivers license regardless of legal status.In the past, anyone applying for a license in Virginia had to have proof that they were legally allowed in the country.
