Another Cook Out is headed to the Star City.

The race started nearly 2 hours later than originally scheduled due to heavy rain in Southwest Virginia.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. – The Cook Out fast food restaurant located in Rocky Mount fired two employees this week after an incident involving some local sheriff’s deputies. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is aware of the incident and has spoken to the deputies involved. We were understaffed at the Rocky Mount, VA location over the holiday weekend which resulted in unacceptable slow service. We have taken immediate appropriate corrective action to address the staffing issues and improve the wait times at the Rocky Mount, VA location.
