It was a rough night Friday as Hokies battled it out on the grid iron against Old Dominion University. ODU won 20-17.

On Wednesday, Virginia Tech head coach Brent Pry detailed some changes he made during spring ball. One of the more surprising was the news that quarterback Connor Blumrick was taking reps at wide receiver. On Thursday, during an open period of practice, Blumrick was dressed in a white jersey, and not missing a beat catching passes, something wide receivers coach Fontell Mines was impressed with.

The Hokies bowled in the Big Apple Wednesday afternoon as they took on the Terrapins in the 2021 Pinstripe Bowl.

In Saturday’s college football game, Virginia Tech Hokies (3-1) beat the Richmond Spiders (2-2), 21-10.
