A moment more than five months in the making finally happened on Friday, as this year's "Home for Good" project came to a close.

On Friday, this year's "Home for Good" homebuyer will have the keys to his brand new home.

Construction of this year's "Home for Good" reached a major milestone this week

Members of the WSLS team, volunteers with Bateman Home Inspections, LLC and Habitat volunteers all teamed up to build a home for a Roanoke native.

There was plenty of joy and excitement along 22nd Street Northwest in Roanoke on Friday as WSLS 10 News, Habitat for Humanity in the Roanoke Valley and generous sponsors kicked off this year's "Home for Good" project.
