Now doctors at the El Tunal hospital in Colombiaโs capital are hoping that gardening can have a positive effect on kidney patients, who must visit the hospital three or four times a week to have their blood cleansed by dialysis machines.
El Tunal's gardening project began about a month ago, Millan said, after patients were given potted onion plants to take home.
