David Lipsky wouldnt have guessed then how that would parlay into his best shot at finally getting a PGA Tour card. The Dunhill was a co-sanctioned European Tour event, which put him in the top 10 in the Race to Dubai. Being among the top 10 in points at the end of the season at least can get him into opposite-field PGA Tour events, and it will go a long way toward a PGA Tour card for the fall of 2021. Lipsky reached the final stage of Q-school in 2012 the last time it awarded PGA Tour cards and finished poorly.

He found at it Muirfield Village, and suddenly looks as though he'll be tough to catch at the Workday Charity Open. Morikawa ran off four straight birdies after making the turn Friday, finished with another birdie and shot 6-under 66 to build a six-shot lead when thunderstorms arrived in Ohio. I had heard from a lot of people before, this course was going to suit a left-to-right shot, anyway, Morikawa said. I think sometimes when something really doesnt go your way, like missing a cut, it just stands out a little more, he said.

(AP Photo/Tony Avelar)PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – Nick Taylor opened with an eagle, closed with two birdies and made a gorgeous day feel even better with an 8-under 63 at Monterey Peninsula that gave him the lead Thursday in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. The iconic scenery is at Pebble Beach, especially when the surf turns a turquoise hue under so much sunshine. “A nice start,” Taylor said, referring to his 4-iron that set up eagle and the 63 that matched his low round on the tour. But we were very relaxed today, joked all day, and I felt like the mood was great.”He led by two shots to par over Patrick Cantlay (Spyglass) and Chase Seiffert (Pebble Beach), who each had a 6-under 66. “But I shot a 4-under par round and it's not going to hurt me.”The hurt belonged to David Duval, whose scorecard contained a 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8.
