The rebranding is all a part of the restructured Appalachian league. It includes wood-bat play and is no longer directly affiliated with major league baseball. During Friday’s virtual briefing, organizers also explained how the local community impacted their decision. Season tickets for the River Turtles are on sale now while individual tickets will go on sale in the spring.

This new Appalachian League format will continue that tradition, ensuring that high-level baseball will continue being played in our state for the long-term. Minor league baseball and Calfee Park has been a part of Pulaski since 1935. Were not going to let Calfee Park stop being an entertainment venue this summer. Stadiums are being turned into Airbnbs, golf courses, disc golf and now thats going to trickle down to us now that we have the official notice that we dont have Braves games, Bennett said. So, what were going to be doing is looking for other things here at the park and stadium within the states guidelines.

So instead of a list of games, this week the Yankees announced a schedule of summer events at Calfee Park. The schedule features youth baseball tournaments but, there are events you dont have to be a baseball fan to enjoy. Pulaski Yankees arent the only ones making use of this time.
