2024 1st and 10 Camp Tour: Heritage Pioneers

The Pioneers are coming off a state finals appearance in Class 3 in 2022.

The Seminole District and Region 3C defensive player of the year is headed to the 757.

It was 45 degrees and raining at Heritage’s practice on Tuesday. While some teams may move inside, the Pioneers suffered through, building character, confidence, and motivation, all in preparation for Saturday’s Class 3 State Championship game.

For the first time ever, E.C. Glass and Heritage high schools will each host a state semifinals matchup on the same day.

Heritage has reached the state semifinals, but a big powerful Christiansburg team is the next challenge.

The perennial power Pioneers are looking to reload for another playoff run.

But now the former 1st and 10 Player of the Year is ready to step back in the orange and blue for Virginia State.

Coach Brad Bradley's Pioneers return a number of skill position players on offense.

Roanoke, Va. High school football coaches from across Virginia are forming the Commonwealth Football Coaches Association (@CFBCA20) to give the more than 5-thousand coaches a collective voice in the direction of prep football in the state. Earlier this week, a reported 75 coaches from all across the Commonwealth participated in a Zoom call about the new effort to form a coaches association. According to published reports, the state has been divided into five regions, with 15 coaches representing each region. Area coaches involved include Heritage coach Brad Bradley, Liberty coach Chris Watts and William Fleming coach Jamar Lovelace, all representing the Central Virginia region of the state. The CFCAs site has gained nearly 600 followers in about 48 hours, with longtime high school coaches from all across the state weighing in and lending their support.

LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Heritage High School Pioneers are pretty much on the same page for the 2019 season. Heritage will get a big test right off the bat when Vance High School out of Charlotte, North Carolina, plays them a visit on Friday night. With the 2018 championship in the rearview, Heritage still has leaders on the team who have been in tough games. "That's what's great about high school football. You plug in the guys you have, you work them to death from January to July, you rely on your culture," Bradley said.

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The 1st and 10 Camp Tour rolls into the Hill City for a stop at perennial power Heritage. Coach Brad Bradley's squad returns confident in building more success in 2018, led by senior quarterback Jabari Blake. Heritage averaged 48 points a season ago and the defense served up two shutouts.
