Two orphaned bobcat kittens rescued by the Southwest Virginia Wildlife Center in Roanoke have gotten their happy ending. After nearly a year, and an estimated $20,000 cost of care, the female bobcat kittens WSLS featured through the 10 News bobcat cam on wsls.com have been successfully rehabilitated and released.

The Bobcats quarterback and Elon commit had over 4,300 yards in 2023. Coach Michael Crist named coach of the year.

RADFORD, Va. – After a plethora of Region title games cancelled on Friday, the Glenvar girls were able to travel to Radford for a Region 2C showdown. The Bobcats lead until the third quarter, where the Highlanders were able to pull away thanks in part to guard Olivia Harris, who had 13 points that quarter, 35 overall. “It started out, we had this mentality we would lose at first. We put it together, we had a talk in the locker room, got it straight, and got the dub,” Harris said. “I’ve been working on this the whole year, but we just felt like we needed to get a state dub this year, and it’s my final year, so I’m really excited to get it this year.”Glenvar will now travel to Gate City on Wednesday for the Class 2 State Semifinal.

In Daleville, the highly touted Radford Bobcats put their show on the road, earning a 65-55 win over Lord Botetourt. Radford/Salem/Roanoke, VA – A prep signing period opens Wednesday for everyone other than football and men’s and women’s D-1 hoops. At the home of the Bobcats, Radford star volleyball player Trinity Adams is headed to SEC and national power Florida. Adams helped lead the Bobcats to a state championship right here in nearby Salem, as they defeated Poquoson for the title. And at Patrick henry, the Patriots multi-sport star Savannah Derey will play lacrosse at the next level. Lauren Pickett will play volleyball at D-2 Eckerd College, Meleah Kirtner will play hoops at ETSU and Daniel Goode will drive up I-81 and play golf for Radford.
