The family of Arieanna Day is still looking for answers after her disappearance in 2018.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Va. – At this time, the case against the Blacksburg man charged with concealing the body of his 3-month-old daughter is not moving forward in court. On Thursday morning, Montgomery County Commonwealth’s Attorney Mary Pettitt dropped the single charge remaining against Andrew Terry. After a ‘hot mess’ of a trial in Sept. 2019 resulted in a mistrial, Terry was facing just a single charge of concealing a dead body. Because Arieanna's body is still missing, the defense argued there are other possibilities for what could've happened. The defense said this includes Jessica Day, Arieanna's mom, saying she sold the baby or an adoption agency stealing the baby. ROANOKE, Va. - It's been a year since a 3-month-old went missing in the Roanoke area. Arieanna Day disappeared Sept. 11, 2018. During the first week of the investigation, police announced that "circumstances related to Arieanna Day indicate that she is most likely deceased." Andrew Terry, Day's father, was accused of concealing the body of the missing 3-month-old. A jury will hear the case against Terry during a two-day jury trial starting Sept. 25.
