Amherst County Public Safety says their crews are fighting two large wildfires in the county.

A driver is in the hospital following a tractor-trailer crash on Route 29 northbound just north of the Ambriar exit in Amherst County, according to the Amherst Fire Department.

Virginia’s Fire Services Board would evaluate the county’s resources, personnel, and organization.
