The Flames improve to 17-5 and 8-2 in the ASUN Conference while North Florida drops to 7-13 and 5-5 in conference. As Liberty held North Florida on a near four-minute scoring draught, Liberty extended its lead to 18 points (60-42) with 11:52 left in the game. Liberty countered with an 8-0 run to keeping its double-digit lead as North Florida went on a three-minute scoring draught to seal the win. Liberty shot 54 percent while limiting North Florida to 41 percent.

After getting settled in, Kennesaw State was able to jump out to a 12-0 lead midway through the half. Kennesaw State shot 38.5 percent from the field. I have a lot of respect for Kennesaw State and the season they are having; it is just a matter of time before they get some wins because they play quality basketball.

The last team Liberty saw in 2020 was Lipscomb in the ASUN championship, and that is who they will open up with on Friday Jan. 1 with a 3 p.m. tipoff in Nashville.
