ROANOKE, Va. – On Wednesday the nominees were announced for the McDonald’s All-American games, featuring some familiar names and faces from southwest Virginia .
Northside’s Cy Hardy and Mykell Harvey are both nominees for the East team for the McDonald’s All-American Games. The games will be played April 1 at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, New York.
The two Vikings stars have been instrumental in the program’s success the past few years, helping lead the program to back-to-back VHSL Class 3 state championships.
Northside, seeking the illustrious ‘three-peat’ is currently off to another solid start for the 2024-25 season, with a record of 10-1.
The top 24 girls and boys teams are said to be announced later this month.
