ROANOKE, Va. – While it’s the players that take the field and make the plays, the Washington Commanders coaching staff has made a difference by making the right play calls.
It’s not only evident in the teams win-loss record but the culture that many of the players rave about. Washington’s front office seems to have gotten things right when calling on Dan Quinn to “Take Command”.

A little less than a year ago, Washington introduced a fiery Dan Quinn who was eager to get the chance to be a head coach again. The aggressive, passionate spirit he’s taken to D.C. has already yielded rich results.
“Creating a standard together was an important part of creating a culture because it’s how we do our business together,” said Quinn. “And so, many times I’ve separated atmosphere and culture, we’ve got a good vibe about how we do things, but that’s not your culture. It’s how you practice, how you meet, how you do things together.”
Developing players and pushing them to get better is only part of the job. Being a true leader of men is what effects change. Quinn became the first coach in franchise history to win 10 or more games in his first season and with the team motto of “Anybody, Anywhere, Anytime”, Dan Quinn and Washington are committed to keeping a higher standard of excellence starting Sunday night.
“It mostly comes from the players, which is a good thing that they get the game plan right, get your bodies right so you can really perform at your best and you want to do all the preparation you can,” said Quinn. “So, when you do kick that thing off on Sunday night, man, ‘I put the work in, I’m ready to go get down.’”
