ROANOKE, Va. – William Fleming boys basketball hosted Albemarle Tuesday night in what proved to be the program’s home opener. Led by first year head coach Christian Kirchman, the Colonels had a strong first half. Kahmarie Steelman helped set the tone on the offensive end of the court along with Cincere Perry who was a force in the paint.
Fleming battled hard and was out to a 19-17 lead after the first quarter. But a strong second half led to a 65-53 Albemarle victory.
On the girls side of this match-up, William Fleming beat Albemarle 69-20 on the road.
