Marshall parts ways with coach Doc Holliday

Huntington, WV – Marshall University is moving on from head football coach Doc Holliday after 11 seasons. Holliday joined the Thundering Herd in 2009 and led the team to an 85-54 record. His teams made eight bowl appearances and won a Conference USA title in 2014.

This year, the 63 year old Holliday was named Conference USA’s coach of the year after leading his program to #15 national ranking before dropping the final three games of the year.

Holliday is a former West Virginia linebacker, longtime WVU assistant, and also an assistant at NC State and Florida.
