Stephens, Parham score 25 each for VMI in 84-79 win

VMI defeats Chattanooga for the first time since February of 2018 (WSLS)

LEXINGTON, Va. – Jake Stephens and Greg Parham scored 25 points apiece as VMI defeated Chattanooga 84-79. Stephens made 4 of 6 3-pointers. He added nine rebounds and three blocks. Kamdyn Curfman had 17 points for VMI, which earned its sixth consecutive home victory. Sean Conway added seven rebounds.

“It was good to get back on the winning side of things. It was good to be at home and keep that streak going,” said head coach Dan Earl.

“I just thought a lot of guys participated in the win today. We’re trying to get whoever gets into the game to positively affect the game. Today we got some really good minutes from Ta’Vonne Bond especially on the defensive end and Trajan Fahl gave us some really good minutes. And obviously, Greg Parham, Jake Stephens and Kamdyn Curfman were tremendous today. Overall, a great team win.”

David Jean-Baptiste scored a career-high 29 points for the Mocs. Stefan Kenic added 19 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Malachi Smith had 17 points and 10 rebounds.
