DALEVILLE, Va. – Lord Botetourt defeated Hidden Valley in straight sets Tuesday night to claim it’s second consecutive Region 3D title.
Senior Miette Veldman led the Cavaliers with 24 kills, 14 digs and was named the region’s player of the year. Her teammate Ryanna Clark added two aces and 9 kills an coach Julie Conner was named Coach of the Year for Region 3D.
Both Hidden Valley and Lord Botetourt advance to the VHSL Class 3 State Tournament. The Cavaliers will host Fort Defiance at 6 p.m. on Saturday and the Titans will travel to Rustburg Saturday for a 6 p.m. start with the Red Devils.
