Giants Jennings Honored in Lynchburg

Lynchburg (WSLS 10 Sports) In this era of athletes and misconduct of all sorts, we offer up a breath of fresh air.   The hill city honors an NFL running back and one of *Forest's* own.

Lynchburg Mayor Michael Gillette presented former Liberty Christian Academy and Liberty University star Rashad Jennings a philanthropist award for his contributions to the area. Jennings currently plays for the New York Giants and created a foundation in his name.  The foundation's mission is to support area families, and to stimulate positive youth development through education, mentor initiatives, and health and fitness programs.

Jennings is also hosting a youth football clinic this weekend in Lynchburg.
