DANVILLE (WSLS-10 SPORTS) - On the eve of another season of 1st and 10, the camp tour checks in at the home of the Eagles. GW Danville is a program that hasn't seen a losing season in 13 years, and has only lost 5 games over the last 3 years alone. That includes last year's 10-2 campaign that ended with a 3 point loss in the second round of the playoffs.
It's coach Nick Anderson's fourth year at the helm. he bid farewell to a senior-heavy team a year ago, which tells you--open positions means athletes working harder and competing for starting spots.
"We graduated a lot of seniors last year that we've got some kids were going to feel some big shoes and we're looking for the next guy is going to step up and be a leader on the team. We've got these guys attention they're competing they're working hard they're trying to earn that spot because they know that there's a lot of spot that can be filled this year and there were a lot of return or so the competition has been great and were excited about where were at,." explains coach Anderson.
GW Danville opens with Athens, North Carolina on August 26th.
