Second ride of the day is one I have done often. I love riding all of the greenways in the Roanoke area. When I was returning to my vehicle, I blew out a tire. That is a first for me. Cardinal Bikes was so helpful and had me up and pedaling in no time. Some might ask why I didn't use one of my CO2 cartridges...the hole was too big! :>)

First ride of the day is one I have wanted to do for some time. I rode from Downtown Roanoke to Mill Mountain. It was hard but not nearly as hard as I thought it would be.
This is the Richard P. Gravely, Jr. Nature Preserve located in Ridgeway, VA.
Our LOVE letters are located at the Smith River Sports Complex on Irisburg Road. If you look closely, you can see the different sports our area offers.
This is the Rooting for the Same Hope mural located near the big chair in downtown Martinsville.
The "big" chair located in downtown Martinsville was a gift from Bassett Furniture Industries commemorating the role of the furniture industry to our locale.
This is what is lovingly called The Little Post Office which was its original purpose. The sphere in front is made of horseshoes. The artist is Jessie Ward who is a farrier.

This is the Gravely/Lester Art Garden in Martinsville. It features and old post office as it gallery and there is a nice walkway displaying different types of sculptures from local artists.
