Roanoke College coach under investigation after steroid supplies found

Officers found multiple vials, syringes in David Sampson's office, home.

SALEM, Va. – A Roanoke College coach is under investigation after a search warrant finds multiple steroid-related supplies.

According to a search warrant from Salem Circuit Court, officers found steroids in Roanoke College strength and conditioning coach David Sampson's home and campus offices.

During the searches, officers found vials labeled as "testosterone enanthate." A separate search warrant on Sampson's Easton Road house reveals officers found 55 vials, multiple syringes and other materials related to the use of steroids.

Salem police communications director Mike Stevens says the investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed at this time.
