34 Christmas trees are on display at the Hotel Roanoke for Fashions for Evergreens

ROANOKE, Va. – The holiday season has officially begun at the Hotel Roanoke with Fashions for Evergreens.
The unique tree competition pits organizations in the community against one another for a good cause.

Each organization enters a Christmas tree that has been professionally decorated and then people vote for their favorite by donating to that tree. Voters can donate as little as a penny up to however much money they wish. The tress will be displayed until New Year’s Day.

More than 34 trees are on display for the competition. All proceeds benefit the United Way of Roanoke Valley. Sandra Holt, director of sales and marketing for the hotel says that it is open to the public for free to enjoy.

"It has been a great tradition for us over the many years and it's the excitement we are able to see in our guests' faces and in the community faces that keeps us going,” said Holt. “And being able to contribute to the United Way of Roanoke Valley makes it all the better."

The hotel is asking the community to post  their pictures of the display on social media and be sure to tag the hotel for a chance to win some prizes this holiday season.
