RUSTBURG, Va. – Students are heading back to class after a brief lockdown at Rustburg High School, according to Campbell County Deputies.
Deputies say the call came in around 9:20 a.m. A lockdown was put in place, but deputies say no threat was found.
The school system has not yet released a reason for the lockdown.
There is a police presence outside the school. Virginia State Police, along with sheriff’s deputies are at the scene. Deputies say all the students are fine.
A number of parents have shown up at the school to find out what’s going on. Several tell 10 News that their children texted them asking why they were being evacuated.
