Sheriff's office: Girl calls 911, saying man exposed himself, asked her to get in truck

Incident happened while she was walking home, deputies say

BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. – The Bedford County Sheriff's Office is investigating after receiving a 911 call from a high school-age girl on Tuesday afternoon.

Bedford County 911 dispatchers received a call at 4:33 p.m. from Butterfly Lane in Stewartsville from a teenage girl who said she was running up the road screaming for help.

The girl said that a white man in a tan Toyota truck stopped, asked her to get into his vehicle and also exposed himself to her, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded and talked with the girl who told them she had gotten off the school bus and was walking home when the incident occurred.
