Funeral arrangements are being planned for Irvo Otieno, a 28-year-old man who died earlier this month at Central State Hospital while under police custody.
NBC 12 reports that the family has requested that Rev. Al Sharpton, a well-known civil rights activist, deliver the eulogy, but it’s unclear if he has responded yet.

This news comes after Otieno’s brother, Leon Ocheing, created a GoFundMe to assist the family as they work to prepare the service and “navigate and survive the duration of the fight for Justice for Irvo Otieno.”
