Virginia sees 3,203 new coronavirus cases, now reporting 537,319 statewide

There are now 6,932 deaths from the coronavirus in Virginia

As of February 10, Virginia is reporting 537,319 cases of the coronavirus across the commonwealth since March 2020.

As of Wednesday, a total of 1,130,763 vaccines have been administered across Virginia, with 217,605 people being fully vaccinated, according to VDH.

  • 268 new cases in Prince William County
  • 255 new cases in Chesterfield County
  • 129 new cases in Virginia Beach
  • 123 new cases in Chesapeake
  • 104 new cases in Stafford County
  • 102 new cases in Henrico County
  • 85 new cases in Loudoun County
  • 71 new cases in Newport News
  • 70 new cases in Norfolk
  • 69 new cases in Richmond
  • 58 new cases in Arlington County

  • One fewer case reported in Highland County
  • Three fewer cases reported in Alleghany County
  • Four fewer cases reported in Russell County

As of Wednesday, the Virginia Dept. of Health reports there have been 6,847,477 total testing encounters.

The term “testing encounters” includes individuals who have been tested more than once due to their profession, high-risk status or need for a negative result to return to work. The health department started using this metric on May 1. To learn more, click here.
