RICHMOND, Va. – As of November 13, Virginia is now reporting 199,262 cases of the coronavirus across the commonwealth since March.

Friday’s total of 199,262 cases marks an increase from Thursday’s total of 198,027 cases.
Here is a breakdown of the 1,235 new coronavirus cases in Virginia:
- 135 new cases in Fairfax County
- 102 new cases in Prince William County
- 39 new cases in Henrico County
- 38 new cases in Virginia Beach and Culpeper County
- 37 new cases in Richmond
- 35 new cases in Frederick County
- 33 new cases in Arlington County
- 31 new cases in Montgomery County
- 30 new cases in Roanoke County
- 27 new cases in Chesterfield County and Chesapeake
- 26 new cases in Wise County
- 24 new cases in Alexandria
- 22 new cases in Franklin County
- 20 new cases Loudoun County and Roanoke
- 18 new cases in Bedford County and Campbell County
- 16 new cases in Hampton, Henry County and Pulaski County
- 15 new cases in Winchester and Russell County
- 14 new cases in Hanover County and Augusta County
- 13 new cases in Washington County, Smyth County, Norfolk, Wythe County and Botetourt County
- 12 new cases in Lynchburg and Tazewell County
- 11 new cases in Newport News, Danville, Stafford County and Bristol

As of Friday, the Virginia Dept. of Health reports there have been 3,099,913 total testing encounters.
The term “testing encounters” includes individuals who have been tested more than once due to their profession, high-risk status or need for a negative result to return to work. The health department started using this metric on May 1. To learn more, click here.
