RICHMOND, Va. ā There are now 12,366 cases of the coronavirus in Virginia as of April 25.
Starting April 21, VDH began counting probable cases in addition to coronavirus cases confirmed by testing.

Saturdayās total of 12,366 marks an increase of 772 from Fridayās total of 11,594 cases, 10,998 on Thursday, 10,266 on Wednesday, 9,630 on Tuesday, 8,990 on Monday, 8,537 on Sunday, 8,053 last Saturday and 7,491 last Friday.
Here is a breakdown of the 772 new cases across Virginia:
- 211 new cases in Fairfax County
- 74 new cases in Prince William County
- 52 new cases in Page County
- 46 new cases in Accomack County
- 42 new cases in Arlington County
- 35 new cases in Loudoun and Henrico County
- 28 new cases in Norfolk and Alexandria City
- 20 new cases in Richmond
- 17 new cases in Manassas City and Chesterfield County
- 15 new cases in Harrisonburg City
- 13 new cases in Richmond County
- 11 new cases in Mecklenburg County
- 8 new cases in Rockingham County
- 7 new cases in Shenandoah and Fauquier County
- 6 new cases in Warren and Frederick County
- 5 new cases in Northampton, Culpeper and Stafford County
- 4 new cases in Spotsylvania County and Virginia Beach
- 3 new cases in Westmoreland, Orange, Buckingham, Prince Edward, Hanover County, Charlottesville City, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Chesapeake
- 2 new cases in King William, Northumberland, Powhatan, King George, Augusta County, Hopewell, Fredericksburg, Falls Church, Winchester, Colonial Heights, Hampton and Newport News
- 1 new case in Rappahannock County, Radford, Russell County, Essex County, Middlesex County, Lunenburg County, Mathews County, Nottoway County, Buchanan County, Henry County, Williamsburg City, Franklin City, Gloucester County, Bedford County, Prince George County, Danville, Louisa County, York County, Montgomery County, Albemarle County, James City County
- Charlotte County is now reporter 1 fewer case. The Virginia Department of Health has previously told 10 News that, numbers on the website are preliminary, and changes of this nature are due to inaccurate residency information that was later corrected.

These cases are āpresumptively positive,ā meaning they are pending confirmatory testing by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
As of Saturday, the Virginia Dept. of Health reports that 72,178 people have been tested.
