Man armed with stun gun robs business, Lynchburg police say

Police: Man steals cash, flees on foot after robbing Fast Auto Loans

LYNCHBURG, Va. – A man armed with a stun gun robbed a business Saturday afternoon, the Lynchburg Police Department said.

Police responded at 3:46 p.m. to the Fast Auto Loans at 2501 Memorial Ave.

Police said the officers were advised that a man entered the business armed with a Taser.

The man then stole an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the business on foot, police said.

The robber is described by police as a dark-skinned black man with a skinny build who is approximately 20 to 30 years old and 6-feet-1-inches to 6-feet-2-inches tall. Police said he wore a black baseball cap, a black long-sleeved shirt and gray baggy sweat pants.

The incident remains under investigation by the LPD's Criminal Investigations Division, police said.
