LYNCHBURG (WSLS 10) -- A Lynchburg judge sentenced Dominique Moss to life in prison on Wednesday for a murder that happened back in 2014.
Moss faced a sentencing range of 20 years to life in prison.

In October, Moss pleaded guilty to first-degree murder for the August 26, 2014 shooting death of his cousin, Shawn Moss. It happened near the intersection of 11th and Polk Streets.
Prosecutors have called this case a brutal murder, saying the suspect ambushed the victim. During the investigation, evidence revealed the victim was shot 17 times.
