Melanie Rueda said she had to get her car serviced but afterwards, she’s looking forward to staying at home.

Meanwhile, one resident said he was out looking for kerosene: “I went from Christiansburg to down here in Roanoke looking for it and finally found it here.”

Many residents said they are glad we have snow.

“Love it a lot. It’s been a long time since we’ve had snow,” said Don Mowbray.

“I personally love it. I was hoping for snow all year,” said Rueda.

However, there were some people who aren’t fans of the snow.

“I wish it wasn’t here,” said one resident.

If you do need to be out in the snow AAA says there’s some advice you need to keep in mind.

It says to slow down, give the car in front of you plenty of space, keep an emergency kit in your car and don’t hit the brakes if you start to skid.
