The LPD has identified the victim of a fatal motorcycle crash in Lynchburg Sunday.

The man has been identified as 37-year-old Theodore Edward Dow of Bedford.

A man is dead following a single-vehicle accident that occurred in Lynchburg on Sunday, the Lynchburg Police Department said in a news release.
LPD said the motorcycle crash occurred on the southbound lane of U.S. 501, just before the exit to Wards Road. An adult male died as a result of the crash. He was the sole rider.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Farrar at (434) 534-5357 or Crime Stoppers at (888) 798-5900.
