PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. – A shooting in Pittsylvania County that occurred on January 19 left one man injured, Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office said.
PCSO said they responded to the 1100 block of Afton Road Danville for reports of a shooting incident around 1 p.m. on January 19. Upon arrival, they found a man suffering from significant trauma from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. He was taken to the SOVAH Emergency Room by rescue members. At this time, the victim is still being treated.

Authorities stated they seized evidence at the residence and interviewed multiple witnesses. A person of interest has been identified, but no arrests have been made yet. They suspect this incident to be a domestic dispute, and an isolated incident.
