Two men lost their lives after the agricultural equipment they were using came into contact with high-voltage power lines on Thursday, according to the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office.
At about 4 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 5000 block of Dry Fork Rd in the Dry Fork community for the report of a structure fire. When they arrived, both victims were unresponsive and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities have identified the victims as 24-year-old Juan Arizmendi and 67-year-old Phillip Hylton, both from Dry Fork.
They have been transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office for the Western District of Virginia, where the cause and manner of death will be determined.
