RICHMOND, Va. – Governor Glenn Youngkin covered a multitude of issues in his final State of the Commonwealth address on Monday.
In Youngkin’s final months in office, he wants to focus on border control, business and national security. He says he is looking forward to working with President-elect Donald Trump.
“I’m very excited about the incoming Trump administration. For the last three years, we have seen Virginia soar, but we’ve been doing it fighting the headwinds coming out of Washington. And now Virginia has a friend in the White House,” Gov. Youngkin said.
He also talked about tax relief on cars and his proposal for no taxes on tips. Youngkin also wants to provide scholarships for low-income families and continue providing hurricane disaster assistance to Southwest Virginia.
