Woman arrested for setting multiple fires at homes in Campbell and Appomattox County

CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. – A 34-year-old woman was arrested after an investigation by the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office and Fire Marshal’s office into a series of fires that occurred at different residences in Campbell Co and Appomattox County.

The first incident occurred on Sep. 30 2024 and an additional incident happened Jan. 7 and through a joint investigation with LPD and the Appomattox County Sheriff’s office 34-year-old Aheley Inesta was arrested in connection with the fires.

after the arrest was made more evidence was discovered which led to Inesta being charged in connection to a fire in Appomattox Co. that occurred on Nov. 24 2024, 10 News has learned.

Inesta was also served with outstanding warrants in Lynchburg in total the following charges were obtained or served on Inesta.

-Campbell Co.: Maliciously set fire to woods, fences, grass etc

-Appomattox Co.: Burning or destroying dwelling house

-Lynchburg City: Unauthorized use of vehicle

-Lynchburg City: Eluding Police
