DANVILLE, Va. – Funeral arrangements have been set for Lieutenant Robert Talbott, a veteran of multiple fire stations around the state.
Talbott was a 20-year veteran of Chesterfield Fire and EMS, and also served in various other areas around the state. Most notably, he served for 8 years with the Danville Fire Department before serving in Chesterfield.

Talbott was the recipient of many awards for his work as a firefighter and paramedic. In October 2023, he received a Unit Life Safe Award for helping in the rescue of five people from a burning apartment building.
Talbott passed away on December 20 after a short battle with cancer at the age of 55. A celebration of life is set to be held on Saturday, December 28 at 12:30 p.m. at The Tabernacle Church in Danville, Talbott’s hometown.
