RADFORD, Va – Some good news for Radford residents looking for a new internet provider.
Comcast is expanding their broadband internet services to almost 10,000 homes, with construction beginning immediately.
“So we’re always looking to bring our products and services and expand our network to new areas,” said Kristie Fox, Vice President of Communication for the Comcast Beltway Region. “We’ve been expanding across the state of Virginia since you know, a lot this year.”
The first homes are expected to be connected by the first quarter of next year, with a completion goal of late 2026.
Currently, the only other internet provider in Radford is Shentel. Comcast will also be offering cable, mobile and security services.
