15-year-old charged after “single shot-fired” incident in Roanoke, according to RPD

ROANOKE, Va. – A 15-year-old boy has been charged after he allegedly fired a shot in the men’s restroom of a restaurant in Roanoke Sunday.

According to police, authorities responded to a report of a single shot being fired in the men’s restroom of a restaurant in the 1400 block of Towne Square Blvd NW at 3:13 p.m. Sunday.

RPD said evidence of a shooting was located and after an investigation a suspect was identified and a 15-year-old boy from Rocky Mount was arrested and charged.

He has been charged with the following:

- Reckless handling of a firearm

- Possession of a firearm by a juvenile
