LYNCHBURG, Va. – A man was arrested following a sex trafficking investigation conducted by the Lynchburg Police Department and the Virginia State Police, LPD said.
Authorities said their investigation began in June and focused on suspicious activities occurring on the 700 block of Leesville Road. They conducted what they referred to as “Operation White Rabbit” on December 12, which executed search warrants out of Lynchburg and Thomasville, North Carolina.

The executed search warrants resulted in the arrest of 58-year-old Thomas Lee Thomas II of Thomasville, North Carolina. He was charged with the following:
- Receiving money from the earnings of male or female prostitutes
- Commercial sex trafficking
- Conspiracy to commit sex trafficking
- Keeping, residing in, or visiting a bawdy place for immoral purposes
- Receiving money for procuring or placing a person at a location for the purpose of sex trafficking
Thomas is currently awaiting extradition back to Virginia.
