WATCH LIVE: Hurricane Milton coverage as storm hits Florida

Hurricane Milton has made landfall in Florida as a Category 3 storm, bringing widespread destruction in its wake and leaving more than 2.8 million homes and businesses without power as of early Thursday.

This storm comes right on the heels of Hurricane Helene, which flooded streets and homes in western Florida and left at least 230 people dead across the South.

While there won’t be any local impacts, Milton created catastrophic conditions in the state of Florida, pounding cities with winds over 100 mph and producing a series of deadly tornadoes. By Wednesday evening, the National Weather Services offices in Florida had already issued more than 130 tornado warnings.

Our sister station in Orlando, WKMG, is working for you to track how it will continue to impact Florida.
