ROANOKE, Va. – There is currently a heavy police presence in Northwest Roanoke near the 3400 and 3500 block of Melrose Avenue.
Roanoke Police Department said a man has been found dead after a shooting in the area. They have also said there is no threat to the public.

RPD has said to avoid the area if possible, a forensics team is also on site.
