As a reminder, this happened at the Peters Creek Apartment Complex in the Hollins area of Roanoke County, right behind Burlington Elementary School.
The fire has displaced 12 units and has resulted in significant damage.
“We used our ladder truck and we’ve dumped a lot of water on it, so there’s going to be water damage in just about every apartment in there,” said Brian Clingenpeel, community outreach coordinator for Roanoke County Fire and Rescue. “So not every unit has fire damage but every unit is going to have some water damage.”
The American Red Cross is helping those who were displaced.
