Some local volunteers with Renew the New are making sure that the New River stays clean and healthy for generations to come.
It is all a part of the organization’s fall into the new end-of-summer river cleanup, where volunteers and participants walked along the riverbank while some hopped in the water to try and find any trash.
Over the years, the amount of trash found in the river has gone down significantly, making each cleanup event a little bit easier.
