Man dies from injuries sustained in June 29 Roanoke shooting

RPD still searching for shooter

ROANOKE, Va. – A man has succumbed to injuries that he sustained from a shooting in the 3500 block of Shenandoah Avenue on June 29, RPD said Wednesday.

The victim has been identified as Jerron Byers, we’re told.

RPD says the investigation remains open and no changes have been obtained.

As previously reported, police were notified of two gunshot victims on Saturday, June 29. One woman was taken to the hospital by Roanoke Fire-EMS. A man was transported by personal vehicle to the hospital.
