Man arrested after robbery at Quick-E Food Store in Lynchburg Thursday, police say

LYNCHBURG, Va. – A man has been arrested after a robbery at a Quick-E Food Store in Lynchburg Thursday, according to police.

LPD Officers responded to an alarm at the Quick-E Food store at 1200 Lakeside Drive at 1:47 in the morning Thursday, we’re told.

Upon arrival officers discovered that the front door had been forcibly smashed. Security footage also showed a man breaking through the door and stealing items, police say.

45 minutes later the suspect was spotted near the intersection of Lakeside Drive and Moorman’s road and after a brief foot pursuit officers caught the suspect, LPD said.

The suspect has been identified as 42-year-old Adelrick Mosby of Lynchburg and he has been charged with the following:

  • Burglary
  • Petit Larceny
  • Fleeing from Law Enforcement

LPD said that Mosby is currently being held at Lynchburg Blue Ridge Regional Jail without bond.
