ROANOKE, Va. – Calling all artists!
Melrose Plaza in Roanoke is seeking mural ideas that represent the community’s diversity and revitalization.
The new plaza will offer affordable food, essential family health services, educational advancement, career opportunities, financial services, and more. The mural will wrap around two sides of the building on Melrose Avenue and 24th Street, taking up a whopping 1,758 square feet.
The deadline for submissions is June 28 and the project will be awarded in August. Artists can start working on the mural no earlier than September 3, with completion before October 31.
