The scene of this brush fire has been cleared, according to VDOT.

It is unclear at this time whether or not the fire has been contained, but the Craig County Sheriff’s Office told 10 News that all east and westbound lanes of Route 42 near Conrad Street and Yoder Street have been reopened.

Crews are battling a brush fire in Craig County nearby Route 42 in the vicinity of Conrad Street and Yoder Street.
According to VDOT, all east and westbound lanes of Route 42 are closed.
The New Castle Volunteer Fire Department took to Facebook to share they responded to the fire.
